Fang Wei (Soochow University, China) Chinese Literary Criticism: How to Deal with Network Literature The vigorous development of Chinese network literature has become an important literary phenomenon in China toward the 21st century, but the development of Internet literary criticism is not entirely satisfied. The study of network literature contains “new problems” and “old problems”. Network literature criticism must reconstruct the relevance of traditional literature and network literature. It must adhere to the literary judgement and interpretation rights of critics, to realistic concerns, to the combination of literary aesthetic values and social values, and also change the sense of superiority of critics’ elite identity. Only by changing the single aesthetic interest of criticism and the intervention of criticism can we truly realize the rapid development of Chinese network literary criticism.
