Some scholars think that the two novels show various similarities in overall conceptions and theme dispatching. The Marriage stories to Awaken Men either large or small influenced on A Dream of Red Mansion in three aspects: time and place description, cultural content and wording. It is reasonable that The Marriage stories to Awaken Men influenced on A Dream of Red Mansion, because the writing age of the two novels was almost in the same period.
